Everything Louder Forever
Everything Louder Forever
I'm sorry, my very few readers, this post also touches on mental health, mainly because I am currently confined in Goodmayes Psychiatric Hospital on a Section 2 so as you can appreciate I have a lot of free time (geddit?).
I have recently suffered an incredibly long and difficult mental health crisis and at some point during the last 9 months started to hear voices. I variously spoke to
The upshot of this is that whilst most of these conversations with my subconscious were quite pleasant I also spent a lot of time listening to music and one of the albums I listened to was Motorhead's Everything Louder Forever. I think it was actually released after Lemmy, the last remaining member of the original lineup died.
While listening to the album I imagined that these were perfect songs to get our special forces hyped up before they go into action against the disciples of whichever deity, dictator or General Dipstick isn't playing ball with access to his Republic's oil, lithium, iron ore or whatever.
If you're at all interested listen to the lyrics and see if you can hear a meaning that I did, other than just good old fashioned hard rock.
I believe that Lemmy was an accomplished war historian in his spare time (did he have any between shagging 1,000 women and rocking 10,000 fans).
Anyway have a read of the Wikipedia page for Lemmy, a bloody fine Englishmen in my opinion.
I hope at least someone comes back for the next instalment, I hope to post about some of the interesting things I have found at car boot sales.
