From Hendon to Havering The last couple of days have been quite good, the weather's getting better at last and I haven't been bothered by those awful criminals in the NHS. I popped into Romford with my parents today and it was good to see the local Police responding to some genuine emergencies, with the demographic changes in Havering I know they would rather be keeping Joe public safe than acting as a taxi for bent 'Doctors'. I was also a bit upset to see an ex paratrooper down on his luck, asking strangers for the money for a cup of tea. I can't imagine any circumstances that I'd ever want those guys to have to do that, I'd be ashamed of myself if I did. We're all on the same side. Anyway here's a couple of tracks to let all the men and women that serve their country, past, present and future that the British public appreciate you. Police Passing-Out Parade (1969) (youtube.com) And one for the Paratroopers. My Son Pass Out Parade in Para Regiment
Thanks For Serving I've been up all night, unable to sleep thinking about the prospect of an early retirement and a healthy pension, enjoying myself on my yacht in the sun; let's face it every dog has his day and I've always loved Turkey. These are just some random songs I like in no particular order, if I may have your attention. They mean an awful lot to me, I hope they mean something to you, the sound quality isn't great but when you watch the video too you should understand, I'm happy to let others Judge. Judas Priest - Breaking The Law (youtube.com) I've always admired the Dirty Harry franchise, all the other cops were scared of him, he could get into trouble working the Subway on the late shift but he never worried about the pension and the Chief Inspector always let him carry the can, candidly. George Thorogood & The Destroyers - Bad To The Bone (Dirty Harry Tribute) (youtube.com) I love this song, this is the original although it's been widely
Not Half Sonali Haymaker - First to die (youtube.com) Now back to some things that are both serious and fun in equal measure and that is the criminals in the NHS, to name only two at NELFT: Dr. Sonali Gupta who learnt in India but is just practicing in England and Dr. Mahmood? from Allah knows where, his name doesn't appear on the Goodmayes Hospital website although that's what he calls himself. The other day, Friday I think it was they called unannounced at my house with what I presume was a social worker and the po po in tow. Ostensibly this was to check on my welfare, but was possibly an excuse to section me again and forcibly poison my brain. Fortunately for them they had a court order allowing them to force down my door to help me. But therein lies the nub, the court order was a forgery, the penalty for which is ten years in prison and my parents agreed with me when they saw it, fortunately copies are very securely locked up. My life already! who's being played here?
Walker Crips PLC I said I was planning to make some posts about stocks that I am interested in and Walker Crips is one that I am particularly interested in and have made quite a large investment in. The rationale is based on my contrarian value approach and I think, in the right circumstances it could return a multiple of my investment. Walker Crips - Investments, financial planning and pensions (wcgplc.co.uk) They are a small Investment Manager with a market value of around £9m and reported profits are usually quite modest but this is not the reason I have committed so much money to buying the shares. The investment case for these shares is what is described as 'a sum of the parts'. That is the intrinsic value in separating the cashflow from the assets on the balance sheet is far greater than the value the stock market places on the whole. To give some detail Walker Crips has a genuine net cash and liquid asset value greater than all of its debts at around £10m. But that is
Freedom, Freedom, Equality For My Freedom Having regained my mind (I'm still hearing voices but I feel I can cope mostly) I have also regained my interest in current affairs and, boy! do I feel sharp again. I've been posting on another generalist forum about some of the topics that interest me, often about the current social and political discourse in the West and how the Government whilst telling us it is protecting our rights has in fact suppressed the most important ones we consider to be fundamental to our freedom.  I'm going to copy and paste a post I made and would like to see if you see how our enforced adherence to 'Equality and Diversity' (think a bit about how it is possible to be both equal and diverse at all at the same time anyway) has become an unavoidable necessity in every aspect of our lives. Here it is, it is meant to be an allegorical truism, knock yourselves out: How many of you are expected to read the Company's Equality Policy? If you don
Just Because You're Paranoid... If you got the money we got the sound, you put it up we'll put it down Sorry folks this is another post about mental health and conspiracies so it should be fun for someone incorrectly diagnosed as a Schizophrenic like me. I've been considering events in the run up to my mental health crisis and subsequently and have come to the conclusion that NELFT and possibly other health authorities run a barely legal programme to keep 'clients' on their medication by fair means or foul by harassing them using their families, employers, po po and their own incompetent staff who not only am I expected to pay for but also tolerate. Because they have access and control of your mobile and computer (see previous post about how worthless your right to a private life is) they can essentially make you a persona non grata with anyone they choose, thus denying you a proper legal resolution to their crimes, even if it's only to get them to cease and d
I've Got a Strong Constitution With the next General Election coming up soon I got to thinking what could be done about our current crop of politicians, whether it be the narcissistic warmonger Tony Bliar and the vile traitor Jack Straw or the filthy rich, foreign, tax dodging, benefit scrounging, weaselly Indian Rishi Sunak and came up with the following draft manifesto which if passed into statute could form the basis of a British Constitution. It consists of just two pledges which if enacted in law might seek to reign these people in a bit for quite some time. The first is "Any governing party or coalition shall during their term of office seek to make law all of their manifesto pledges. Failure to do so is punishable by a mandatory 10 years imprisonment without parole for all and any Members of Parliament of the Government during that term. This Act can only be overturned by a simple majority of all eligible voters in a referendum." The second is "No governing
Angle PLC I said I liked a blue sky punt and this is by far the best I've ever come across. They have one patented technology called Parsortix which looks really quite simple but could very possibly at the very least lead to very much better diagnosis, treatment and eventually a cure for all types of cancer at much lower cost and far greater speed while eliminating the need for painful and unreliable tissue biopsies; and best of all it's British. ANGLE plc | Revolutionising Liquid Biopsy in Cancer Research I don't understand the science in detail but from what I've read cancers shed what are called circulating tumour cells as they mutate and these can settle anywhere in the body and lead to metastasis. The Parsortix system has the ability to capture as few as one of these cells from a blood draw live and intact for detailed analysis in the lab to guide treatment options. There is already a wealth of peer reviewed positive research papers in the public domain from the
A Couple of Stock Ideas I said I'd cover all sorts of topics of interest to me and the stock market is something I've been interested in since I was a small boy. I used to look at the yearly high and low prices in the Torygraph and work out how much money I could make if I'd bought and sold at the right time. I really started investing seriously when I first started work in the City soon after University and it was easy to find a cheap execution only broker and research companies on the internet. With a bit of reading and thought and trial and error I've finally arrived at a sort of deep value stock selection without over strict criteria. I guess it combines contrarianism and a discount to quality tangible assets, the most belt and braces approach I can think of. A dividend as well is the icing on the cake. Occasionally I take a blue sky punt, but you very much have to try to pick the wheat from the chaff, if you fancy trying some at least look for some independent va
It's all for Skins and Giggles I think therefore I am... Romford Rob Jackson 7th April 2024 There you have it folks, the final solution. I'm sorry if these posts haven't been as good as some of my others, I've just been thinking about philosophy in the odd spare ten minutes and this is what I came up with. I was going to go to the boot sale this morning but was a bit short of cash so I didn't bother, I guess there's next week. Anyway I figure it doesn't much matter what the meaning of life is; life goes on. You get some fascinating oddbobs at them and they're an awful lot of fun. There's beauty in art and music and you can find loads of it at a boot sale at a very fair price. I love all sorts of punk oi oi till I die...
